Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is presently midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the first significant trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would certainly think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
